Journey to Egypt and Jordan: a journey of discovery. This 18-day trip to Egypt and Jordan will take you to discover two countries with ancient history and vibrant culture. In Egypt, you will visit the pyramids of Giza, the Valley of the Kings, the necropolis of Thebes and many other historical sites. You will also sail along the Nile and visit the city of Cairo, the country's capital.

In Jordan, you will visit the pink city of Petra, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You will also visit the Dead Sea, the lowest place on Earth, and the city of Amman, the country's capital. You will enjoy a tour guided by professionals who will help you discover the secrets of these ancient cultures. You'll also have free time to explore on your own and make your own memories. This trip is a unique opportunity to discover two of the most fascinating destinations in the world.

Day 01: “(THURSDAY) CAIRO”

Arrival at Cairo airport, assistance and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.

 

Day 02: “(FRIDAY) CAIRO”

Bed and breakfast. Departure to visit the Pyramids of Giza, the eternal Sphinx and the Valley Temple (entrance to the interior of the Pyramids is not included). Free afternoon with the possibility of making an optional visit to the Sakkara necropolis and the city of Memphis, capital of the ancient empire.

Day 03: “(SATURDAY) CAIRO-LUXOR (FLANCE)”

Breakfast at the hotel.

(Possibility of direct flight to Luxor in the morning). Free morning with the possibility of making an optional visit to the city of Cairo, with the museum of pharaonic art, the Saladin Citadel with its Alabaster Mosque, the Khan el Khalili Bazaar and the Coptic Quarter. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Luxor. Arrival and transfer to the boat. Dinner and overnight on board.

Day 04: “(SUNDAY) LUXOR-ESNA”

Full board on board. Visit to the Temples of Luxor and Karnak, the necropolis of Thebes: Valley of the Kings, Funerary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut known as El Deir el Bahary, and the colossi of Memnon. At the scheduled time we will set sail for Esna. We will cross the Esna lock and continue sailing towards Edfu. Night on board.

Day 05: “(MONDAY) ESNA-EDFU-KOM OMBO-ASUAN”

Full board on board. Arrival in Edfu. We will visit the Temple of Edfu dedicated to the god Horus. Navigation to Kom Ombo to visit its temple, the only one dedicated to two divinities: the crocodile-headed god Sobek, and the falcon-headed god Haroeris. Sailing towards Aswan. Night on board.

Day 06: “(MARTES) ASUAN”

Full board regime on the boat. In the morning possibility of taking an optional excursion to the famous Abu Simbel Temples. There will also be a felucca ride on the Nile (typical Egyptian sailboats) to admire a panoramic view of the Agha Khan Mausoleum, Elephantine Island and the Botanical Garden from the felucca. Next, we will visit the Aswan Dam and the Temple of Philae. Night on board.

Day 07: “(WEDNESDAY) ASWAN-CAIRO (AIRLINE)”

Breakfast on board.

Disembarkation. Transfer to the airport to take a flight to Cairo. Arrive and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation. At night there is the possibility of having an optional dinner show on a boat on the Nile.

Day 08: “(Thursday) CAIRO-THE FOUNTAINS OF MOISES-SAINT CATHERINE”

Breakfast.

Departure to the Sinai Peninsula via the Ahmed Hamdy tunnel under the Suez Canal passing from Africa to Asia. Visit Ayun Musa or the fountains of Moses (Mara), then departure to the city of Santa Catalina. Arrival at the hotel. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 09: “(FRIDAY) SANTA CATHERINE-EL MOUNT DE MOISES-ARAVA-PETRA”

Breakfast at the hotel.

In the early morning departure to Mount Moses or Mount Sinai (Mount Horeb), 2,285 m high, where the prophet Moses received the tables of the law from God, while the Hebrew people camped at the foot of the mountain. From the top we can see the sunrise and Mount Santa Catalina, the highest peak on the peninsula at 2,637m. Coming down from the mountain we will visit the monastery of Santa Catalina (if possible) located at 1,570 m high with its impressive walls. Return to the hotel and departure to the border point where we will leave Egypt. Arrival in Arava, via Eilat, transfer to the Jordanian border. Entry into Jordan after completion of the immigration procedure. Continuation towards Petra. (The crossing from Egypt to Jordan can be done by ferry (by sea) depending on weather, security or logistical conditions. DIRECT PAYMENT AT DESTINATION. Without accompanying guide or assistance, since it is an immigration process) Dinner and accommodation.

Day 10: “(SATURDAY) PETRA-AMMAN”

Breakfast. Departure to the Pink City, capital of the Nabateans and recognized as a Wonder of the World in 2007. We will visit the most important and representative monuments sculpted in the rocks by the Nabateans. The Tomb of the Obelisks, El Siq, 1 km canyon. long where at the end of its route you discover the impressive and well-known Treasury (Al Khazneh), the street of the columns, the colored tombs and royal tombs. Departure to Amman. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 11: “(SUNDAY) AMMAN-MADABA-NEBO-ALLENBY-TEL AVIV”

Breakfast. Departure to Madaba, better known as the City of Mosaics, located just 30 km away. from the Jordanian capital. There we will visit the Church of Saint George, where the oldest known mosaic map of the Holy Land was found, made in the year 571 AD. Next, we will visit Mount Nebo, a place of utmost importance for every Christian, since it was the last place visited by Moses and from where the prophet could appreciate the Promised Land that he would never visit. We will continue towards the Allenby Border. Departure to Tel Aviv with English-speaking driver. Accommodation.

Day 12: “(MONDAY) TEL AVIV”

Bed and breakfast. Day off. Possibility of taking the optional excursion to Masada and the Dead Sea, cable car ascent to Masada, the last fortification of the Jews in their fight against the Romans. Visit to the excavations, Herod's Palace and the Old Synagogue. Panoramic view of the Roman Field and the Dead Sea. If time and climate permit, we will have free time to enjoy a bath in the medicinal waters of the Dead Sea. Return to Tel Aviv.

Day 13: “(TUESDAY) TEL AVIV-CAESAREA-HAIFA-GALILEE”

Breakfast. Departure from the city of Tel Aviv bordering the Mediterranean Sea until reaching Yaffo, the old port of Israel, today an artists' neighborhood. Visit of the Church of San Pedro. Continuation along the coast to Caesarea Maritima, ancient Roman capital, where we will visit its Theater, the Wall of the Crusader Fortress and the Roman Aqueduct. We will continue our trip to the city of Haifa, we will climb Mount Carmel, where the Grotto of the Prophet Elijah is located and we will contemplate the Bahai Temple and its Persian Gardens, and we will have a panoramic view of the city and the port. Continue to Acre to visit the old Crusader Fortress. We continue towards Galilee. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 14: “(WEDNESDAY) TIBERIADES-TABGHA-CAFARNAUM”

Breakfast. Departure to the Sea of Galilee for an exciting boat trip, as was done in the time of Jesus. We continue towards Magdala, birthplace of Mary Magdalene and where we will see remains of the town and its Synagogue. We continue towards the Mount of Beatitudes, the scene of the Sermon on the Mount. Visit Tabgha, place of the Multiplication of Loaves and Fishes and Capernaum, where the Old Synagogue and House of Saint Peter are located. We continue bordering the Sea of Galilee. Dinner and accommodation.

Day 15: “(THURSDAY) YARDENIT-NAZARETH-JERUSALEM”

Breakfast. Departure to Yardenit, traditional baptism place in the Jordan River. We will head towards Nazareth via Cana of Galilee, where Jesus performed his first miracle. We continue towards the Mount of the Precipice, where we can have a beautiful view of Nazaré and its surroundings. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and Joseph's Carpentry. In the afternoon departure to Jerusalem. We continue bordering the oasis of Jericho, where we will enjoy a panoramic view of the Mount of Temptation and the Dead Sea. Ascent through the Judean Desert and entry to Jerusalem. Accommodation.

Day 16: “(FRIDAY) JERUSALEM-BETHLEHEM-JERUSALEM”

Breakfast. Departure to the Sanctuary of the Book at the Israel Museum, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are exhibited, and where the Model of Jerusalem in the time of Jesus is located. Visit of the Ein Karen neighborhood where the Church of Saint John the Baptist is located, and visit Yad Vashem, Holocaust Museum and Memorial. In the afternoon visit to Bethlehem, where entering through the Door of Humility to the Church of the Nativity, we see the Manger Grotto and the 14-pointed Star (place of Jesus' birth). We continue for a view of the Shepherd's Field. Return to Jerusalem. Accommodation.

Day 17: “(SATURDAY) JERUSALEM ANCIENT CITY”

Breakfast. Departure to the Mount of Olives to appreciate a magnificent view of the city. Finally we will visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Basilica of the Agony. We will continue towards the Ancient City, visit the Wailing Wall. Next, we will walk the Via Dolorosa to reach the place of Jesus' crucifixion and the Holy Sepulcher. Visit of Mount Zion where the Tomb of King David, the Cenacle (place of the last supper “The Eucharist” and “Pentecost”) and the Abbey of the Dormition–Assumption of Mary are located. Accommodation.

Day 18: “(SUNDAY) JERUSALEM”

Breakfast. At the indicated time transfer to Ben Gurion Airport.
