Rome has so much to offer, it's best to enjoy it at your own pace. Many of Rome’s most famous landmarks are free to visit, including the hugely popular Trevi Fountain. A wonderful 18th-century Baroque fountain, it begs the existential question: can the attraction really be said to be free if you feel the compelling urge to toss a coin in before you leave? As you ponder this conundrum, keep in mind that Rome’s most popular attractions often attract hordes of tourists.

On this tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum, which includes entrance and transfers, we will visit those areas that are already open to the public.
Itinerary
At the indicated time we will pick you up at your hotel in Cairo or Giza and, from there, we will travel to the Grand Egyptian Museum.
Once we arrive at this colossal building, whose architecture is inspired by the Pharaonic civilization, we will take a two-hour tour of those spaces in the museum that, awaiting the official opening of the permanent exhibition, are already open to the public.
At the end of the visit we will take you back to your hotel, where arrival is scheduled between three and four hours after pick-up.
What will we see during the visit?
We will begin this guided tour of the Grand Egyptian Museum in Cairo by first observing the obelisk suspended on a four-legged platform. This is an imposing column dedicated to Ramses II that is located outside the building, in front of the entrance to the museum.
After admiring this pillar, we will enter the building through the Grand Hall. In this spectacular entrance we will see a 12-meter statue of Pharaoh Ramses II. We will also see 10 statues of Senusret I, the Merenpetah column and various Ptolemaic statues.
Inside this impressive entrance hall, from whose glass roof the rays of the sun penetrate, the Grand Staircase stands out. In this gallery of the Grand Staircase, which will give access to the rooms of the permanent exhibition, we will see an outstanding collection of sculptures.
Along the route along this monumental staircase, we will see numerous sculptures of Egyptian gods and pharaohs, as well as a set of columns and stone sarcophagi. As we will see, all these pieces are related in one way or another to the journey towards eternity in which the ancient Egyptians believed.
Next, we will see a glassed-in space from which we will see the pyramids of Giza from afar. Finally, we will conclude the tour of the museum's visitable area in the shopping gallery. In this area you can buy small pieces that reproduce Egyptian archaeology, cookbooks with recipes inspired by Ancient Egypt, local products and many other souvenir items.
